River & Lake Impression - 2 days

1st day
After an early pickup at your hotel, we will drive through the amazing tropical landscape of Khao Sok towards Surathani. The area we will visit here is pristine and still untouched by tourism. Our first stop will bring us to an ancient unnamed Buddhist temple featuring sculptures and wall paintings dating back to the Sukothai period, some 800 years ago. We will then walk through an interesting cave before we drive to have lunch.
By Longtail boat, we will explore Tapi River and its canals which are surrounded by dense rain forest. At a nearby monkey school, we will see how moneys are taught to pick coconuts. After a visit to the fresh market in the city, we will check into a local city hotel near the river. Dinner we enjoy at a restaurant by the river. After dinner, we embark on a Longtail boat journey to the river banks, where thousands of fireflies illuminate the night. End of day one – approx. 09:00 p.m.
2nd day
After breakfast, we will visit the Cheow Lan Lake“. The lake’s surroundings provide exciting views over mountains, bizarre lime stone formations and wild jungle. Sometimes a variety of wildlife awaits the curious visitor. After a scenic 70 minute “Longtail” boat ride, we will arrive at our jungle trek on an island.
Then, after a short boat drive, we reach the entrance of “Tam Prah Pet” Cave. Equipped with head lamps, we’ll explore this cave to find giant columns, stalagmites and stalactites. Stop for lunch at the raft house and relax for a bath in the lake, before we depart by boat, back to the dam. Another exciting and unforgettable day in paradise!
